Seminars on Life and Achievements of
General Secretary Kim Jong Il
Held in Italy, Nepal, etc.

■ ITALY：

   On the occasion of the commemoration of the third anniversary of the demise of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, a European Seminar was held in Rome on November 22, 2014 to discuss the Juche idea while looking back on his life and achievements.
   Present there were delegates from Juche idea study groups in many European countries including Prof. Matteo Carbonelli at the University of Rome "La Sapientza," who is also secretary general of the European Regional Society for the Study of the Juche Idea (ERSSJI).
   In his keynote speech President Vasile Orleanu of the Supreme Council of Romanian Socialist Party, who is also director of the ERSSJI Board said as follows:
   "Great achievements made by the Korean people in the socialist revolution have proved that the Juche idea can be applied to the contemporary world in viable, political, and legal manners. The powerfulness of the Juche idea has been revealed under the circumstances that they have to face challenges of the entire capitalist world led by the USA and their overt hostile and aggressive maneuvers. The foundation of the Juche idea was the great contribution of PresidentKim Il Sung to the world.
   "Comrade Kim Jong Il's policies were the continuation of the achievements made by PresidentKim Il Sung. Their achievements will remain the pillar of strength for the Korean people waging their struggles against American imperialism, or their guardians over time for their revolutionary acquisition onwards in the future. Every success in the Korean socialist construction bears the imprint of a foot of them.
   "Comrade Kim Jong Il's exploit of developing and enriching the Juche idea, his faith in the cause of Juche, and his commitment to the benefit of the people to his last breath will remain a timeless lesson for socialists around the world, to all who knew of him and loved his work."

■ NEPAL：

   On the occasion of commemorating the third anniversary of the demise of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, a seminar on his achievements was held in Kathmandu on November 29, 2014 under the auspices of the Nepal Journalists Association, the Nepal-Korea Friendship Association in conjunction with the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea (ARIJI).
   Present there were leaders of different Nepali political parties, social activists, professors, intellectuals, advocates and others.
   The seminar was presided over by President Manju Ratna Sakya of the Nepal Journalists Association, who is also deputy director-general of the ARIJI Board.
   In his address, he said that the long-journey General Secretary Kim Jong Il had embarked on was one of hard struggles which led to the miraculous victory of Korea and that the contributions made under his leadership would be written in golden figures in the world history.
   Similarly, General Secretary Phanindra Raj Pant of the Nepal Association for Supporting Songun Policy, Chairman Subash Kaji Shrestha of the Nepali Forum for Self-reliance Studies talked about the exploits made by General Secretary Kim Jong Il who safeguarded the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK and peace and security of the Korean Peninsula and the region in Northeast Asia.
