A regular study meeting hosted by the IIJI was held in Tokyo on October 5, 2009.
Present there were Juche idea researchers from various parts of Japan including Ie Masaji, Representative Coordinator to the Japanese National Liaison Council of Societies for the Study of Kim Jong Il Works, President Kim Hwa Hyo of the Association of Korean Social Scientists in Japan, Secretary General Hanawa Fujio of the Japanese National Liaison Council of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea, Chairman Nakamuro Taiji of the Shimonoseki Juche Idea Study Group, some of whom came to attend the meeting all that way.
It was the third one of this kind held by the IIJI this year,following the first one in June and the second one in July. Those IIJI’s regular study meetings serve as a place for scholars to present their achievements in the study of the Juche idea from their specialist point of view, while giving participants opportunities to deepen their academic understanding of this idea. Prof. Han Tong Song, who is on the IIJI Board, presided over the meeting, saying: the regularization of study meetings so far indicates the promotion in the study and dissemination of the Juche idea.
Referring to the current situation in the Korean Peninsula, Mr. So Chun On, director of the International Department of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee said in his address: the formation of a new framework in place of the present six-party talks is in progress, which may indicate a surge of building new international relations.
Prof. Ouchi Noriaki at Kanto-Gakuin University, research-fellow of the IIJI, who had visited Pyongyang in last September in an effort to study the DPRK Constitution amended in 2009, delivered his presentation entitled “A Study of the amendment in the 2009-year DPRK Socialist Constitution” viewed from an angle of preserving independence based the Juche idea on his study in the DPRK.
Prof. Emeritus Kamakura Takao at Saitama University, who is on the IIJI Board, delivered his presentation entitled “The Korean Situation and Our Tasks—Let Us Have Confidence in the Juche Idea!” Dr. Kamakura, who regards it as the main task in his study of the Juche idea to establish a workers-oriented or people-oriented ideology in building a new society, urged the participants to have a correct understanding that the current world-wide financial crises caused by the imperialist domination.
Mr. Re Tail, younger researcher at Korea University in Japan, who had joined such IIJI’s regular study meeting for the first time, delivered his presentation on the work of General Secretary Kim Jong Il entitled “The DPRK Is a Juche-oriented Socialist State with Invincible Might” on the occasion of the first anniversary of its publication.
Participants in the study meeting exchanged their views and opinions frankly in view of applying the Juche idea to their own society. They became more determined to put this idea into practice in life with a faith in it.
