To Commemorate 110th Birth Anniversary of President Kim Il Sung,
Internet International Seminar on “Truthfulness and Vitality of Juche Idea
—Banner of Human Cause of Independence” Held

The International Institute of the Juche Idea (IIJI) held an Internet International Seminar on “Truthfulness and Vitality of Juche Idea—Banner of Human Cause of Independence” to Commemorate the 110th Birth Anniversary of President Kim Il Sung from April 10 to April 16, 2022.

Setting up a special page on its website, the IIJI carried some 130 papers and congratulatory speeches from some 70 countries of the world that were contributed to the seminar in six languages, namely, English, Spanish, French, Japanese, Russian and Arabic.

The special page has a corner of photo exhibition ＆ book exhibition that shows the activities of President Kim Il Sung, of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, and of General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

The IIJI held the online opening and closing sessions with Mexico as the host country.

Many people joined both the online sessions that started at 8:00 a.m. Mexican time, including the Board members of each regional institute of the Juche idea, Juche idea researchers in individual countries, and friendship activists with the DPRK.

Both the opening and closing sessions were presided over by Prof. Ramon Jimenez Lopez, director general of the IIJI Board.

After paying his respects to those who joined the seminar, Director General Ramon Jimenez Lopez made the first speech entitled “Epoch-making Exploits of President Kim Il Sung.”

He stated: “President Kim Il Sung’s greatest theoretical and practical exploits is that he founded and developed the Juche idea, helpful for ushering in an independent and peaceful new era on a worldwide scale.”

Taking the fact as an example of his exploits that the Korean people fought against the aggression of US imperialism to defend firmly their independence and won a victory in the struggle, Prof. Ramon Jimenez Lopez stressed another truth clarified by President Kim Il Sung: “Single-hearted unity of the leader, the Party and the masses is essential in advancing the revolution and construction and the popular masses can defeat the enemy how strong it may be in a military point of view if they are organized and mobilized and politically educated.”

Dr. Ogami Ken-ichi, secretary general of the IIJI made a speech entitled “Noble Instructions and Warm Love of President Kim Il Sung.”

He began his speech by saying, “I am very happy to see that the study and dissemination of the Juche idea has nowadays been conducted actively in individual countries and that we have close friends increasing in number. I am sure this international seminar on the Juche idea to commemorate the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung will go well thanks to the efforts of Juche idea researchers in individual countries including Prof. Ramon Jimenez Lopez. I do believe that you all from the different countries will continue to carry out this activity with great pride despite the difficulties that may arise.”

Dr. Ogami Ken-ichi said that every time President Kim Il Sung's birthday comes around, he recalls the many important instructions and love he received from the President, and talked about some of the most memorable audiences he received from April 1975 to 1993.

He continued to say: “President Kim Il Sung’s love for and trust in the world people are engraved deeply in their hearts and will remain for ever in their hearts, and that the revolutionary feat that President Kim Il Sung could not achieve was succeeded by General Secretary Kim Jong Il, and is now being carried forward and developed more by General Secretary Kim Jong Un. That is to the stage that under his leadership, the DPRK is heading for the complete victory in socialism, then building the communist society.”

The first Vice-Chairman Sim Sung Gon of the Korean Association of Social Scientists stated in his congratulatory address: “History of the DPRK spanning over 70 years clearly proved the truthfulness and viability of the Juche idea. Furthermore, it is right to say, a fact that today the DPRK is advancing on the track of its development with new vitality is a fruition of the wise leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Un and also a vivid manifestation of the truthfulness and viability of the Juche idea.”

In the seminar the following speeches were made: by Prof. Matteo Carbonelli, secretary general of the European Regional Society for the Study of the Juche Idea entitled “Man’s and Peoples’ Independence and Socialism in Juche Idea―Legacy of Kim Il Sung―”; by Juha Kieksi, deputy director-general of the European Regional Society for the Study of the Juche Idea entitled “President Kim Il Sung–Great Master of Theory and Practice of Revolution”; by Eleazar Rubio Aldaran, secretary general of the Latin American Institute of the Juche Idea entitled “Leadership of Comrade Kim Il Sung for Building Up Powerful National Defence Capabilities”; by Prof. Lohekele Kalonda Andre, secretary general of the African Regional Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea entitled “African Countries’ Struggle for Economic Self-sufficiency and Sovereignty”; and by Mukesh Sharma, secretary general of the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Icea entitled “Korean Socialism with ‘To Believe in the People as in Heaven’.”

Some others like Juche idea researchers from Bulgaria, Romania and Nepal made speeches there.

At the closing session, a letter to General Secretary Kim Jong Un was proposed for adoption by Eleazar Rubio Aldaran, secretary general of the Latin American Institute of the Juche Idea, which was approved by a show of hands of the participants.

Meanwhile, after both the opening and closing sessions of the seminar, there were opportunities for people from around the world to speak.

People from the following countries spoke: India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Mongolia, Indonesia, Cyprus, Nigeria, Uganda, Ethiopia, Senegal, Benin, Mexico, Venezuela, Peru, Chilli, Argentina, the UK, Spain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Serbia and other countries.

They were pleased to say that the international seminar on the Juche idea held on the significance occasion of the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung provided an opportunity for them to attend academic exchanges even on the Internet.

The Internet International Seminar on “Truthfulness and Vitality of Juche Idea, Banner of Human Cause of Independence” to Commemorate the 110th Birth Anniversary of President Kim Il Sung provided an opportunity for the participants to become more determined to conduct the study and dissemination of the Juche idea, while looking back on the instructions and love of President Kim Il Sung shown to the humanity.
