Series of Lectures for “Study of
Kimilsung-Kimjongilism”
Set Up
A gathering was held in Mexico on October 10, 2021 on the occasion of the 76th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Prof. Ramon Jimenez Lopez, director general of the IIJI Board who is also chairman of the National Committee for the Study of Kimilsung-Kimjongilism of Mexico, explained the main contents of a work of General Secretary Kim Jong Un entitled “The Cause of the Great Party of Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il Is Ever-Victorious.” (October 4, 2015)
Similarly, a series of lectures for the “Study of Kimilsung-Kimjongilism” has been opened in Mexico on a nearly weekly basis.
The following is some parts in details:
On August 14, 2021, on the subject of “On the Historical Significance of Kimilsung-Kimjongilism.” delivered were presentations by Prof. Ramon Jimenez Lopez and Mr. Jorge Santos Valencia. They were followed by a discussion to deepen the contents.
On August 21, 2021, on the subject of “Philosophical Principles” of the Juche Idea, there were presentations by Prof. Ramon Jimenez Lopez and Mr. Luis Vicente Hernandez Cruz.
On September 30, 2021 on the subject of “Consciousness,” a presentation was delivered by Prof. Ramon Jimenez Lopez. He said: the relationship between human being and the world is based on the elucidation of the essential qualities of human being as a social being, who has independence, creativity and consciousness as one’s essential attributes. Among them, of consciousness, it is the attribute only human being possesses. So, we with consciousness should carry out our conscientious activities to transform the world surrounding ourselves.
On October 17, 2021 on the subject of “Socio-historical Principle” of the Juche idea, the subject of socio-history is the popular masses; and history develops through their struggle; and in order for the popular masses who have the position as masters in the world to play the role as such, it is indispensable to have their own leadership.
On October 23, 2021 on the subject of “Popular Masses as Historical Subject,” there were presentations delivered by several persons, which was followed by a discussion to deepen those contents.
The series of lectures can be visited on the Internet with presentations delivered by Prof. Ramon Jimenez Lopez and some other participants.
Likely, the Juche idea researchers in Mexico are active to hold their gatherings on a regular basis even under the coronavirus pandemic, while taking measures against infectious diseases as such.
Workshop on “Juche-oriented Socialism,
Communism”
Held in Okinawa
It was held on October 30, 2021 at the Okinawa Prefectural Museum of Art, in Naha City under the auspices of the Okinawan Liaison Council for the Study of Kimilsung-Kimjongilism with the attendance of professors and teachers, medical workers and others.
Dr. Ogami Ken-ichi, secretary general of the IIJI gave a lecture entitled “The Essential Nature of Capitalism and Juche-oriented Socialism, Communism.” The followings are some contents in brief:
In terms of a system, capitalism is based on the private property system, and based on the production and distribution of commodities. Workers sell their labor power to capitalists and produce surplus value by working for more than receiving their wages. In the society of free competition, the strong win and the weak drop out.
It is the achievement of Marx and Engels that they put the mechanism of capitalism as a theory on the foundation of science. As long as capitalism continues, it is inevitable that inequality should increase and bring about distortions.
Marx predicted that as capitalism develops to a high level and the productive forces increase, a contradiction should arise between themselves and the relations of production, and then the transition to the relations of production commensurate with the productive forces should lead to the realization of socialism.
Applying Marx’s theory to life, socialism should have been realized first in Germany, England and France, where the economies had been highly developed. In reality, however, the world’s first socialist revolution was won in Russia.
Nowadays, it can be said that only the DPRK is a genuine socialist country in the world. The DPRK is now striving hard on her way to communism as the ideal of mankind.
The Juche idea placed the question of man’s position and role in the world as the fundamental issue of philosophy. The Juche idea is characterized by the elucidation of the man-centered viewpoint on and attitude to the world.
The DPRK has been being adhered to independence without subordinating herself to other countries like China, Russia, Japan and the Unites States. The Korean people with high consciousness as masters of their nation are united while regarding independence as the life, the soul.
A united society, a united country, cannot be defeated. Unity is not just a means of struggle, but rather the feature of an ideal society. In the DPRK, a brotherly unity between the leaders and the people has been built up.
Respectable leaders and their excellent guiding thoughts are inseparable. To us, the road of Juche is the road of making our effort to introduce those respectable leaders and disseminate their excellent thoughts widely among the people, while doing our possible best at our own places for the good of the people. It is not impossible to realize the society that people long after.
Next, Prof. Emeritus Taira Ken-ichi at Okinawa University gave a lecture entitled “The Driving Force of Korean Socialism Overcoming Capitalism” in view of connecting the elucidation of Marxism to the current situation.
As we see now, societies are deteriorating, which cannot be tolerated for human beings to live.
On the contrary, the DPRK, which has overcome various difficulties, this and that, is advancing ahead in the direction of developing socialism, communism.
One of Marx’s theoretical achievements is his elucidation of the fundamental principles and the fundamental contradictions of capitalism.
The starting point of capitalism is how to make a profit, and the capitalist society is a society that seeks only to increase profits.
The frustration of socialism in the former Soviet Union and East European countries is attributable to the fact that it was neglected to unite the workers, the masses of the people, that politics turned to be coercive and bureaucratic and that those people were forced to accept the mandatory production activities and imperative social activities from up above. All these things made them lose their interest in the Soviet.
Seeing the frustration of socialism leads us to the prediction of that of capitalism as well. The current situation shows that the collapse of capitalism cannot cover up.
Capitalism, trapped in a corner, is to contrive ways to survive.
As a way to prolong capitalism, we see here in Japan the tendency of increasing the irregular employment and driving down the wages and the like.
Being quick to see through capitalism’s alienation of the people and widening gap between the rich and the poor in the capitalist society, General Secretary Kim Jong Un as President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il did has aimed for the heights of socialism.
Even amid the severe situation, the DPRK has been moving forward, without a single step backward, by carrying out the policy of self-reliance, while frankly reflecting on the fact that there were some goals she could not achieve.
General Secretary Kim Jong Un has said that a communal society where people truly help each other would be built through the implementation of collectivism.
It is only in the collective that human beings can further develop themselves and cultivate their personalities.
Those lectures contributed to deepening the understanding that Korean socialism was and has been realized through the leadership of their leaders and their ideas and theories. Similarly, watching there a DVD of the recent national conference of war veterans in the DPRK made the participants recognize vividly the communist relationship between the leader and the people, those war veterans in particular.
