Asian Regional Seminar on Juche Idea Held in Mongolia
―On the Subject of "Self Reliance Guarantees National Independence and World Peace"―
Being hosted by the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea (ARIJI), an Asian Regional Seminar on the Juche Idea on the Subject of “Self Reliance Guarantees National Independence and World Peace” was held in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia on June 29, 2019.
was attended by Juche idea researchers from India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Japan, the DPRK and Mongolia.
Prof. Harish Gupta, director general of the ARIJI Board made the following report on behalf of the ARIJI.
Self reliance or self dependence is the other name of independence or independence is the real self reliance and one can decisively exchange one with the other. While founding and disseminating the Juche idea, President Kim Il Sung underscored independence in most unequivocal terms as follows:
“Establishing Juche means in a nutshell, being the master of revolution in our own country. This means holding fast to an independent position, rejecting dependence on others, using one’s own brains, believing in one's own strength, displaying the revolutionary spirit of self reliance, and thus solving one's own problems for one self on one’s own responsibility under all circumstances.”
Self reliance means no servitude, no subjugation, no domination but sovereign equality to one and all, and it is the key to world peace.
Under the benign leadership and guidance of Chairman Kim Jong Un, we are fully following the tradition of peaceful co-existence with dignity. We must raise higher and higher the flag of Juche, self reliance and thereby ensure world peace.
In his speech entitled “Third World Countries Must Follow the Policy of Self Reliance Based on Juche Idea,” Mr. Muhammad Qamrul Huda, honorary chairman of the Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea, who is also director of the ARIJI Board, said as follows:
A nation or a country cannot be self reliant relying upon the foreign forces. What was the move force behind those miraculous developments in the arena of world politics like the realization of the summit meetings between the DPRK and the US? The answer is that it is the policy of self reliance based on the Juche idea followed by the government of the DPRK headed by Chairman Kim Jong Un. If individual countries of the world become self reliant then their independence and sovereignty will be safeguarded that contributes to ensure world peace.
In his speech entitled “Toward Establishment of Independent Statehood and International Peace,” Prof. Emeritus Ie Masaji at Kobe City University of Foreign Studies, Japan, who is also director of the ARIJI Board, said as follows:
The international community in reality has not virtually maintained and secured the independence of states, including the sovereign equality of states. Under such situation of the world, putting importance to maintaining independent and Juche-oriented statehood cannot be overemphasized in protecting the dignity of each state and the destiny of its respective people. With sharing our understanding that the history of humanity in the long run is a history of the progress of nations and people who aspire after the emancipation and peace, let us strive for the establishment of our own independent statehood and international peace.

On the same day, the 17th Board meeting of the ARIJI was held in Ulaanbaatar.
In the Board meeting directors from Pakistan, Japan, Thailand, Bangladesh, and Mongolia introduced their activities conducted in their respective countries in line with the work of the ARIJI since the previous Board meeting held in March 2017.
Similarly, Prof. Harish Gupta, director general of the ARIJI Board, proposed the work plan of the ARIJI during the period from 2019 to 2021.
Among all the items of the proposal in an effort to make each country independent, sovereign and to build a new society free from aggression and war, domination and subjugation, it was firstly referred to that every director in individual countries will form groups / societies for the study of Kimilsung-Kimjongilism. Also a call was made to form societies for the study of the works of Chairman Kim Jong Un. Also it was confirmed that the ARIJI will strengthen its every coordination with the IIJI.
There was an election for a director of the ARIJI Board. Prof. Mashbat Sarlagtan, executive chairman of the Mongolian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Idea, who is also president of the National Institute for Security Studies, Mongolia, was elected as a ARIJI Board member.
